KIDS LEGAL Priorities

At KIDS LEGAL, we know there is a great demand for legal assistance for low income children and youth in Maine. Unfortunately, we cannot say "yes" to every single case that comes to our doors - even though we want to. Because we can't help everyone, we have established priorities for the types of cases we will accept for either advice and brief service or full representation. For people we can't help directly, we have written and will continue to write client education materials on issues that impact low income children and youth in Maine. Case acceptance depends upon our priorities, income guidelines and staff availability.
