PROTECT YOUR SPACE

Pine Tree Legal Assistance has created a project call to address legal and educational issues facing young victims of violence and abuse. PROTECT YOUR SPACE is a one year pilot project staffed by KIDS LEGAL attorneys within Pine Tree Legal Assistance. This project provides legal services to 13 – 22 year old victims of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in Cumberland and Sagadahoc counties. KIDS LEGAL attorneys will represent victims in civil court matters as well as provide advocacy services outside the Courtroom on issues arising from the violence. We can tell you about your legal rights and how we may be able to help with safety and protection issues, school issues, housing issues and other issues related to the violence or abuse that you might need help with. PROTECT YOUR SPACE also provides consultations to victims and professionals regarding victim rights.

If you live outside of Cumberland and Sagadahoc counties, KIDS LEGAL may still be able to provide information and advice. Please contact KIDS LEGAL for more information.

You can refer 13 – 22 year old victims to the KIDS LEGAL PROTECT YOUR SPACE project for free and confidential advice and possible representation, or you can call us with questions or for a consultation. Our local number is 1-207-774-8246 or toll free at 1-866-624-7787.
