Emancipation:

A 16+ year old may apply at the local Maine District Court for emancipation. An attorney is appointed in most cases.

Dating Violence:

Juvenile Offenses/Court:

Juveniles have a right to a lawyer. Court will appoint one free if juvenile and parents cannot afford one. Free lawyer of the day will be at Court to advise juvenile.
